I missed the post of bongobat.

interesting question.
Eventhough the scan is clear it is not clear to me which motor this could be.
Given the fact that we can clearly see a piston we can exclude electrical motors.
Leaves me with steam engines and explosion engines (not taking into accunt turbine engines and others).
I would exclude steam engines as there is only a kind of barel and nothing that indicates external heat to me.
So that leaves me with the explosion engines. That is then a gas engine; diesel engine or wankel engine.
Wankels do not have a piston and the main difference between diesels and gas engine is the ignition. I see nothing that indicates an electrical cirquit to ignite the fuel. So I would guess it is a diesel engine which would make sence on a german coin.

I think they have minted the right engine onto the coin. Otherwise it would be a fault-minting and its value would have a much higher value than currently 14€.
But what I know is that this guess was too easy for technically interested guys.

Greg solved the guess in no time after he had seen it. OK, he has a special relation to cars.

Only with things e.g. of the kitchen I can irritate you.

You are right. It's a simple tilted up nutcracker. The cogwheel couldn't guide you on the wrong track. I had tried it, but without success.

Davidians with botanic passion, with the green fingers, this is a work for you .

Obviously I don't know what is the name of flower/plant, and is hard to find it on google, starting only from image.
So, please, help me

p.s.: every "heads" of pistils (I suppose they are pistils) have many needles, as you can see in the second image from camera (it's very hard to scan they... so small )

Kind of cheating here but my wife is somewhat of an amateur botanist. I showed her your pictures and she believes it to be Queen Anne's Lace. I'm sure if you Google it, you will find plenty of images. It was funny because my wife just happened to have a seed pod of this on her desk and it looks just like yours. I've been seeing that on her desk, off and on, for months but it didn't come to me.

Here's a brief quote my wife e-mailed me about it:

"Also known as Queen Anne's Lace, the wild carrot (Daucus carota), is one of the most familiar weeds in North America. An ancestor of the domestic carrot, this plant is a native of Europe which was introduced to this country by early European settlers."

Nice scan Mattia I swore I saw that plant around here so I went to some botanical site on the web that lets you look up what plants are in your area. There were way too many to sift through

Walter, You are gettting really challenging with those scans. The gear threw me way off as I was thinking it was some sort of simple gear hobbing equiment. And I was totally baffeled by the butter shaping tool, That butter looks delicious!
