Hello and Welcome,

I suggest to search the "Structured Light" words into the forum's search engine (the field in the upper-right side of the web page) and read the topics.
First of all I suggest to read this.

Please, be patient for a full implementation of S.L. features. Now you can play with it, but only via single static shoots from your camera/photocamera. In the next version of David (version 3) the structured light implementation should be full and complete.

I had this thought a little while ago, but this thread seems an appropriate place to air it :)

As structured light is a fairly popular topic and it seems that DAVID might be developing it further, I wondered if the subject of structured light scanning in DAVID should be given its own subforum? The only problem would be that it would be difficult to gather all the pre-existing structured light threads into it.

That's probably not a big deal because as far as I can tell, there is limited information on structured light to begin with and we could always link to many of the existing posts that are worthwhile.

I've been trying my hand at the whole structured light thing, but have backed off because once the latest version arrives, I have a feeling it will have a big impact on the ratio of projectors to lasers in this forum. Hence, the need for Structured Light to have it's own place...

The idea of a SL subforum is not new. Today we have realized it:
