High quality scans

I'm starting a new project. to build a scanner that is:

portable

makes no compromise on quality

capable of scanning large objects like cars and small aircraft




so far I've found these components and would like your opinion:

USB 3.2MP 60FPS camera

or: USB 2.2MP 150FPS

what would be better: the higher FPS of higher resoluion?


I've requested a full price list from their company and received:
a quotationfor around 800 usd


Also I've read that using a projector gives the highest resulition so for that I'm thinking of using:

If it turns our for me a laser would be better I'm thinking of:

But how can I make a nice line from that without using a wineglass

David does not support the Point Grey USB 3.0 windows 64bit drivers.
I have point greys, but cannot use them with David.
Some people have said that they used them with the 32 bit drivers.

Hi,

my Point Grey cam "Chameleon USB2" is working on 64 Bit with David... but you have tuse "FlyCap2" software in background.
