I have no good result, please help

Postby demasto » Wed Nov 21, 2012 8:39 pm

Hello friend,
I can hardly understand, do not understand English, sorry for the translation.

I have a projector, ACER X1211K and logitech pro 9000.

Calibration panels: are large scale 600 (The panel length measuring 1m)

I put different posicones, the camera and projector. And I've had very bad experience.I tried to read in the forum, but not clear to me the perfect position, the projector and the camera. And the distance of the panel.
Can you tell me with a picture and measures? This step is the first thing that must be clear.
Then I have to try and program settings.
Can you tell me something?
Is it good to scan my projector?

Best regards and very thank you

post your calibration panel picture and the result you got, probably you are doing something wrong, maybe it is the problem with camera settings
Not sure what is bad for you, calibration or something else.

The panels are smooth.

result is very good, you can improve quality by taking much more expensive optics and higher resolution projector

OK,
I do not like the noise, the panel has no such texture is smooth.

What lens should I change?

Projector or camera?

Note that my panels are great.
The optics must be for small objects.

Demasto,
Your scan result is fine. If you like to reduce the "noise" then do it by 'Smooth Average' and / or 'Smooth Median' in 'Result Filtering'. A value of 2-3 will be OK. Try it.

Regarding the phrase 'texture': As texture we understand a "layer" lying on the 3D scan. It's a photo taken by DAVID after the scan with the same camera. Go to 'Texturing' and give it a try.

Your XGA resolution projector is sufficient. You mentioned 'small objects'. How small? Maybe you have to decrease the distance of the projector to the objects. Can you then focus sharp?
