Some people have had problems importing scans into flux studio especially if they used the “remove faces with edges longer than…” filter of meshlab before fusion. They have received an error message similar to this.
I am not sure of the exact cause but I have discovered a solution that seems to work. You will need to download meshlab from here http://meshlab.sourceforge.net/ if you do not have it already.
Open your file in meshlab and save as VRML alternatively saving as STL may work also. You can try others but these seem to have worked for me. Saving as STL saves you from recreating the viewpoints in flux studio.
Now you should be able to import your VRML (.wrl) or STL file into flux studio.
If you are missing the navigationinfo and the viewpoints you should export out your model as a wavefront obj model and import that file back in to flux studio and it should restore the default navigation and views.
Here is a way to reduce the file size of your model. The wiki has an 8 megabyte file size limit. Even if your models are under the file size limit you might want to reduce them as they will be easier for viewers with older hardware and slower internet connections. Again you will need to have meshlab http://meshlab.sourceforge.net/
Open your original model in meshlab and choose FILTERS - QUADRIC EDGE COLLAPSE DECIMATION
The default setting reduces the number of faces by half. I usually use it two or three times. If you reduce to much you have to start over again because I do not think meshlab has a undo feature.
