• its value is the distance between the centres of the calibrationpoints on the printed out Calibrationpattern.
  • this value is used to calculate the dimension of the scanned object.

For the calibpoints.dat-file assumes a distance (scale) of 60mm between the calibrationpoints this value is divided by 60.

The resulting factor scales the 3D value of calibpoints.dat up or down


Example: Measured Scale value = 30mm

Measured Value / Assumed Value = 30/60 mm = 0,5


  • You have to set this value before click on “calbrate” on the calibration window in DAVID.
